Task
A 90-minute true crime special for RTLZWEI, produced with Story House, on Werner “Mucki” Pinzner, the St. Pauli contract killer whose 14-month series of killings in Hamburg’s red-light district ended in July 1986 with a shooting at police headquarters.
Scope
Reenactments, interviews with witnesses from the Kiez and homicide investigators, plus a three-part audio podcast on Spotify built on original interrogation tapes. Edit, music, sound design and graphics in-house.
Result
Gold Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2023.

Fifteen years of cutting rooms, turned into tools that close the gaps we hit every day. Most of that work is repetition, so we built the tools that take the repetition out, with people making the decisions.

About

Founded by an editor.

Andreas Grimm has cut German television for fifteen years, from prime-time entertainment to true crime. He founded add EDIT Media in Palma de Mallorca to bring that craft to the work broadcasters, brands and sports platforms need today.

The setup is small and senior. One editor-founder, a workflow toolkit built in-house, an own publishing product to test every idea on, and specialists brought in when a project needs them.
